Meeting between a European delegation and young cocoa producers supported by Morija

The 51st Earth Day was celebrated around the world on Thursday, April 22. This event aims each year to raise awareness of the issues related to the preservation of the planet and the actions undertaken in this sense.

On this occasion, Morija in Togo received a surprise visit from a European delegation that came to see the achievements of the Agroforestry project led by our local partner, the NGO Avenir de l’Environnement. The delegation wanted to meet with young cocoa producers from the village of Agotimé-Adamé, in the prefecture of Agou, a meeting that allowed them to observe environmentally friendly farming methods. She was especially impressed by the work done in the field to ensure the succession of farmers and the sustainability of coffee and cocoa plantations.
