Children are the main victims of hunger and malnutrition. In Burkina Faso, 19% of the children die before even the age of 5.

Morija has 3 Nutrition Centers (CRNE), in Burkina Faso and Chad, to welcome, care for and feed malnourished children.
These centers, better-equipped than the different medical centers of the country, provide total care for the most severe malnutrition cases.

Through sponsorship, a malnourished child can be saved :

  • He is accommodated during his whole treatment
  • He receives necessary medical care
  • He is fed with therapeutic foods
  • He is followed-up during one year, with a monthly check-up by weighing and examination

>> 20 days are needed on the average to restore to health a malnourished child.
