Today, World Malaria Day focuses on raising awareness and preventing this disease, which affects many countries, particularly in sub-Saharan Africa, where Morija operates.
Through its health projects, Morija improves access to healthcare in sub-Saharan Africa, where it is often limited. By providing medicines and quality care, particularly in rural areas, Morija enables the poorest populations to receive treatment, sometimes free of charge.
Malaria is one of the most widespread diseases in sub-Saharan Africa. To combat this scourge, Morija works with local communities to provide insecticide-treated mosquito nets, which are an effective means of combating the transmission of malaria.
Awareness-raising work in local communities is carried out by Morija teams as close as possible to the population. The skills of local medical personnel are also enhanced with training to effectively diagnose and treat the disease.
On this World Malaria Day, we want to remind you of the importance of the fight against this disease, especially in sub-Saharan Africa.
Let’s continue to work together to eliminate malaria in sub-Saharan Africa and around the world.
