September 5 marks the International Day of Charity. This date was chosen in memory of the disappearance of Mother Teresa of Calcutta, who received the Nobel Peace Prize in 1979. Her work contributed to stemming poverty.

For Morija, this date is important because charity is the foundation of its operation. Without it, our actions for the benefit of the most disadvantaged would not exist. Charity allows us to share our values of solidarity, compassion and dignity for all.
